i also really, really, really wish archival of stuff was better for rozen maiden

or you know what maybe not because modern day anime fans and their tendency to turn everything into a sports match would probably make a new rozen maiden fandom insufferable

All in all, as much as I love Rozen Maiden... it's a little surprising considering how iconic Shinku and Suigintou are in the east... I really wish the series banged so that we could have gotten what followed from Rozen Maiden Rewind... or just a redo of the anime entirely

you could only understand it by reading the manga and all of the impactful moments were delivered so flatly

and making Rozen revive all the dolls like that and essentially saying they don't have to die to complete the alice game is... ????

So then they started from scratch with Rozen Maiden Rewind... and it was very poorly paced...

And then Traumend happened, which was buns writing wise, and it's like Kakegurui XX or FMA, where if they wanted to continue, they would have to start from scratch because the kirakishou reveal truly was just sequel bait

Unrelated, it should also be noted that ALI PROJECT is not to be confused with OSTER Project... I said i'd study her music, but the intro of Nijiro Stories alone has so much going on that it is difficult for someone new to get a complete read on what is going on... her compositions are too strong 😔

I also really really love the chords that are hit in the 3/4 section. They feel extremely powerful and regal, which i mean is fitting considering the song context, but... the movement in the string part especially is what sells it especially.

It's interesting how in the one for Traumend they somewhat broke it with those phrases at the end of the chorus, they add one lil section that changes the time signature to 3/4 for 3 bars in the second chorus. it happens again and is repeaded a second time in the final chorus too.
