ALSO for some reason you can buy animated backgrounds and avatar stuff for certain games even if you don't own the games in question? for some reason that rule's only for emoticons and static backgrounds. it's weird

yeah O: emotes and most profile backgrounds (aka the non-animated ones) are buyable on the steam marketplace! i think the only stuff that's steam-points-only is animated backgrounds, avatars and related decorations, and stickers

yeah i'm pretty mixed on the choice too because like. on the one hand odyssey's gameplay feels like a natural evolution of the banjo series' playstyle and i love YL's moveset with that kind of gameplay? on the other hand, it def strays from the banjo-like feel of the OG yook idk mixed feelings too
