But I'm proud of the beard - how I did it, not how it actually looked. Sort of like Charles Bukowski if he let himself go

A Musquee de Provence pumpkin (C. moschata, aka fairytail) from the garden.
It's in roasting, the house smells great. The fresh cut has a wonderful scent, hence the "musk" name. Making a stew, pies, and a jam.

Musquee de Provence pumpkin, tan skin, deeply lobed, back lit by the sun on a table with a fall leaf pattern. You can see why it's marketed as a "fairytale" pumpkin. The musquee all cut up. Brilliant orange flesh with a tan skin, brushed with olive oil, sitting on cookie sheets. It smells wonderful like this, and it's one of the only pumpkins that you can eat raw, and like it.
