GitHub allows you to change the base branch on a PR, so a second PR can be built on top of the pending changes from the first. When the first gets merged, the second gets the base branch updated automatically. I’ve used this occasionally for years.

I recently started rebuilding my site after having it abandoned for several years, and literally put "Website under construction" in the home page. Adding a GIF seemed a little too much though.
