Here for pro cycling, music and coffee nerding. No transphobia, racism, colonialism or sexism ever anywhere, but especially not in cycling.
WVA has a better chance in PR than Jonas in Worlds.

(he's a local councilor for the liberal party, I don't like him)

Yeah his 33rd place in Puivelde Koerse was super exciting.

Wait which Vermeersch?
December 16, 2025 at 6:17 PM
Guy comes 2nd in PR once and gets hyped into oblivion (and a UAE contract) by the Flemish media.

*Philipsen and the yearly three random ex-CX riders they happened to turn into A-/B+ tier classics riders.

Hey, a man can hope.

I forgot how little Pog raced in the classics this year. '23 he at least did E3 and '22 he did DDV. Pog evades the a lot of the need for good positioning by going from far away, the question is what happens when for some reason he can't.
December 16, 2025 at 9:29 AM
It also means less practice positioning and handling in a Flemish classics peloton. Not an issue for mvdp, but it might be for Pog. Doesn't matter much if UAE thins the peloton from the get go or he goes on an early Kwaremont, but still an E3 tune up might be advisable.

O mijn god. Ik ben al maanden bezig om samen met mijn collega's en het bestuur te kijken waar we procentjes VTE kunnen samenschrapen en VIERDIMENSIONALE ENERGIEVELDZOOI KRIJGT P.E.R. O.N.G.E.L.U.K. SUBSIDIES. Tijd voor een cursus guillotinebouw.

What if all sprinters are just hammered? Philipsen clearly wouldn't pass a field sobriety test, Van Poppel gets way too brawly, Merlier needs his buddy Van Lerberghe to bring him home...
November 26, 2025 at 2:09 PM
Pog will have a hard time dropping him on Kwaremont and his TT abilities should come into play more in windy Flanders than in Lombardia, so at least there's hope.

It's not like January 6th wasn't backed by the US (eventually).
November 26, 2025 at 10:42 AM
'Backed by the US' might be a better descriptor of coups that go unpunished.

Yes. He defended blackface and said that 'woke has gone too far'. Then again this summer he shared a picture of a poster that called for the exclusion of ipt. My take is that he's middle of the road Flemish dude: apolitical in words but confusedly right wing in reality.

Tirreno '21 is the gold standard for road cycling.
November 22, 2025 at 9:59 AM
Iniesta, co-owner of nsn is involved in a fraud investigation. Nsn has Depp as client. They have no organic ties to cycling. All of this screams 'shady company needed quick promo deal, no questions, little commitment' Also taking over ipt gets more attention than any other cycling investment atm

Add UAE to that list. The momentum might be there to kick out all genocidal teams.
November 15, 2025 at 6:54 PM
I don't see him outsprinting mvdp or following Tadej up the Pogio. My proposed schedule is already quite packed, so no need to add 300+ km with a small chance of winning.

They already have Remco for that, I think Tadej has some potential, but more as a Hirshi type rider. Farming .pro races is his ceiling.
