I love this scene because it lets you know that sometimes there is no redemption. Both of them have to live with their mistakes. They are both sorry for their crimes but they can´t undo them. This scene is when the cycle of vengeance ends.

But like Ambessa said to her, she must learn to be both the fox and the wolf, which is why she's depicted in the last scene wearing golden accessories and a cape with golden details but red clothes underneath.

In the show, gold is Mel's color. She even says to her mother in her flashback "we'll paint the walls golden", emphasizing her diplomatic approach to things. Her mother on the other hand, uses war- violence and blood- to get what she wants.

I haven't moved on from this. I love how this scene show Vi's relationship with change. She's embracing it rather than fear it. Yes her dad and sister are different people now but that doesn't make them less family.
