@ted.dev shared how he is using Event Sourcing to make TDD easy while building the web version of his TDD game.

Commands generate events. Events change state.

Also the Marker Interface used by his events into a pattern matching switch statement was an awesome trick.

After watching Llewllen Falco and @jaybazuzi.bsky.social debate their interpretation of Arlo’s commit notation, I am now sold on the value of adding risk to commits.

However I still want my IDE to automatically add the . r commits after an automated refactoring

Lada Kessler had an awesome session showing off some AI Agents.

We got into a discussion of still not trusting code created with Gen AI. @chrislucian.bsky.social said something like “senior developers are fine using these tools as they know what to look out for, but jr developers should stay away”

Talking to @quinngil.com about microobjects was a blast after hearing about it from Steve and Paige.

I especially love the trick of replacing a Factory method like “createSciFiFilter” with a class called SciFiFilter that only overrides the constructor
