And here I think Trump says exactly what he means …
“We don’t need your votes.”
“Tariffs are paid by other countries.”
“ICE agents are going after the worst criminals.”

And soon, I think, this one will be relevant: “If we’re in a war, there won’t be elections.”

Just an FYI, like most things, Trump has it all wrong.

The Magnificent Mile isn’t a mall. It is a section of Michigan Avenue with a ton of shops and restaurants. Very high-end area.

Nobody who goes to the Mag Mile wants to see the military (or ICE or any other armed mobs) there.

Just long enough to get us past Christmas.

I’m honestly amazed Republican Congress hasn’t stood up to this already.

I feel like we are in a never-ending episode of The Twilight Zone.

Dude, I don’t fall for you being a new person either. — During Trump 1.0, you voted for Trump’s agenda more often than not and you voted to not impeach him the first time.

You may have apologized for it later, but we all suffer now for your enabling then.

Sorry Adam, but you chose poorly.

Trump is probably standing there during the medical emergency getting mad that someone took the spotlight off of him.

The MAGAs that still believe it when Trump says prices are down are likely not the ones buying the groceries or paying the bills.

Brain transplant? Maybe?
Heart? Both?

The California bar is notoriously difficult.

That said, at 45, shouldn’t she be more aware that AI can’t distinguish between fact and fiction?

Ok, admittedly, Nebraska is surprising. 🤣

I’ve had good luck this semester convincing students to forego AI. Nothing is 100%, and I’m sure there are a couple who are “getting away with it,” but short of controlling all their source material and/or writing everything in class, I’m pretty happy with the results.

Apologies for all the water and electricity sacrificed to give my students this moment of clarity.
November 2, 2025 at 1:45 PM
For the 161 final research paper, I gave permission to students to use AI to generate an outline.

Their response? Versions of: “This is terrible,” “It’s all wrong,” and “Oh my God, I know so much more than this crap.”

Hard work for the win!

The Epstein Ballroom is going to be bugged to the rafters by the highest bidder.
October 27, 2025 at 1:46 AM
How’d it go?
October 26, 2025 at 3:05 PM
Hard same.

Chicago has truly demonstrated great resilience and resistance.

I just worry that it isn’t enough.

LA, DC, Portland, Chicago … they aren’t going to stop until they get the Civil War they’re looking to start.
October 26, 2025 at 2:33 PM
Believe me, if I could leave, I would.

I’m in Chicago. The ICE presence (and antics) here have been intense. — And, sadly, this is likely just the beginning.

It’s not just you.

US citizen here, I just returned from a quick trip to Toronto last week and US Customs snapped my picture as well. That was a first.

I travel to Canada regularly. This was my fifth border crossing this year, and first picture entering the US.

Why doesn’t Congress stop this nonsense? They undercut their own power to bow to Trump.

We absolutely do not want the military being paid by the highest bidder.
October 24, 2025 at 11:37 PM
When Trump and his regime is gone, we are going to have to demolish whatever he “builds” because it will be packed to the rafters with spyware from the highest bidder(s).
