I think this might be the last violet painting of the season… the light hit this setup outside just right for like 15 minutes and I was able to paint enough information to finish it up as the day went on. #violets #oilpainting #art

Another violet painting. I’ve got maybe one of two more left before they all close up and go to seed. Some people think they are a weed but I do love them. I’ve got at least 3 kinds in the yard, mostly North American but some European too. #violets #springflowers #oilpainting
