Looks like the spooky month is upon us again!
I won't be doing any daily drawing challenge this year, I'm cooking up something for Halloween and I'll need all the time I can get if I want to complete this even remotely close to the date. xD

Over a month later, the chest shell is done!
And no, I didn't take a break here, it actually took a whole friggin month to wrangle the topology on this thing. It was an ordeal, and it was entirely my own incompetence and excessive perfectionism.
But, I think I learned at least a little bit there.

It did not go a whole lot faster, nevertheless the ears are now fully retopologized. And I think they turned out pretty well.
Next up, we start putting pretty squares on the big ol' cuirass.

Finally detached the new head from the sculpt, letting me make much needed fixes to the mouth and sharp bends among other things.
(This will cause so many problems later with normal map baking, but I won't worry about that now xD)
Now doing retopology on the ears. Should go a lot faster hopefully.

After much pain (praise be the dev gods for periodic autosaves) the noggin is now almost done.
Of course the mesh is far from final, there are some features that don't translate well from snapping to the sculpt (namely areas around sharp edges), which will need to be retouched with snapping off.
