I agree. A lot of people treat watching TDS/LWT as a fait-accomplit for political engagement and that needs to change.

The media ecosystem is different up here, but we have similar issues even without as much local edu-tainment (outside of the right-wing "alt news")

I think we can argue about the effectiveness of the call to action, but John Oliver usually does include actions/next steps at the end of a segment where possible (calling representatives, fundraisers, charities, etc.).
