fair enough, I still built things when I was in a 2bd apartment by laying out a tarp in the living room, using hand tools exclusively, taking it outside for the final sanding, then back inside to apply a brush on finish.

But that is a LOT of hassle so I understand many folks wouldn't go that far!

nothing stopping you from learning now! the internet is full of how to guides, videos, etc. You don't need the expensive equipment the youtubers have, you can start with basic hand tools & make great stuff!

I made this (absolutely overbuilt) bedframe using a hand saw, a drill, & an orbital sander!
