I *REALLY* wanted to have a big push for doing mail-out convention badges before MFF. Concussion followed by COVID killed that.
I can probably still do two or three, mailed out no later than the 24th if I get the orders in by tomorrow night!

The hype around Silksong made me finally check out Hollow Knight, so I've been poking through that in my spare time. It's been a nice chance to slow down my brain and patiently explore - I've looked up a couple specific questions when I felt I'd gone in too many circles, but otherwise staying blind.

Undertale never became a fixation for me, but I deeply appreciate it and what it brought to the medium. Last year I finally went through Earthbound, and enjoyed spotting some of the likely-inspirational elements there. This is why art is so cool.

I would probably be interested in trying the Soulslike format sometime, but whycome most of the imitators have the same gross uber-detailed, decaying aesthetic? That's like 95% of the reason I haven't felt like trying the actual Souls games.

I'm being haunted by the part of myself from high school who was briefly and intensely interested in political cartoons.
My feelings on Wilds are... mixed. The world itself is lush - love the human cultures, weird monsters, endemic life, weather shifts. Good bones. But the design of story progression and combat mechanics both feel like they encourage me to turn my brain off in lieu of making intentional choices.
I hate being negative about my favorite game series, but honestly it feels like the magic of playing Wilds wore off way faster than it did for base World or Rise...
The Zoh Shia update was great, it was a genuinely hard fight. But once you got used to it, it wasn't really an issue
