the last two weeks have just been a whiplash of events and emotions….

starting to not feel guilty about staying home and resting instead of being out and about and completely depleting my energy and wallet lol.

Taking with me the fun moments of this year into 2025, and leaving the rest of the filth back in 2024.

this year has been nonstop shedding of layers of my past. it’s very painful short-term, but long-term I know I’ll be able to breathe.

The thing that really differentiates Bluesky is that it doesn’t feel like it was designed by a bunch of people who will lose their jobs if I spend a little less time on Bluesky.

I will say that despite my constant nagging, none of my IRL friends are on Bluesky, nor do they plan to join anytime soon, if at all.

While I wish I could engage with them on here, in a way, I’m lowkey kinda okay with that, because this can be my little utopia on the web until it really blows up. ☺️

If we’re talking about legit Twitter/X successors, each time I open Threads, I only see doom posts that make me feel jaded and anxious.

Whereas here on Bluesky, at worst, I see neutral, uninteresting, yet factual content. And at best, I see “skeets” that have me inspired, educated, and/or at ease.
