Vacay replay: Last stop on this cruise was Victoria, BC. We only had time for a walk down the Dallas Road Waterfront Trail to Holland Point Park. Naturally, it brought to mind my favorite Canadian band.

Vacay replay: The northernmost point of the Inner Passage is Skagway, Alaska. This historic gold rush town has an Old West feel with it's picturesque wooden building and boardwalks.

This so delights my inner child!

Vacay replay: On our way to the next port we were treated to a glimpse of the Northern Lights. Not so colorful to the naked eye and there was a beautiful crescent moon just about to set, still the phone captured something special.

Vacay replay: Up super early to enjoy the sail up Endicott Arm fjord to see Dawes Glacier. Afterwards we sailed to Juneau. Fellow cruisers were so shagged after this day I literally had the dance club to myself, with DJ and bar staff, of course.

Vacay replay: There's nothing quite like sailing through the night and waking up in a new town like beautiful Ketchikan, Alaska. This gateway to the Inner Passage is situated in a temperate rainforest and features a lovely waterfront and abundant cultural displays.

Virtually sharing one of my favorite gin concoctions -- the dirty, spicy and sour martini. #nowdrinking

I though my daylilies were doubles but they are actually triples.

I have a few patches of orange daylilies in my yard, probably wild.

I'm very curious about the availability of bitters in Japan. I heard that it was very difficult to get unusual bitters in Hong Kong from a friend that worked as a restaurant beverages manager.

My extended family has been practicing natural burial (aka green burial or eco-burial) -- sadly, three in just a few years. This type of interment uses biodegradable materials for natural decomposition. FYI: cremation is shockingly energy intensive! I visited my Aunt's place of rest last weekend.

Here's a show I just saw this Tuesday in Maryland,
@sluggodoug.bsky.social. What a great bill -- Modern English, Soft Cell and Simple Minds! All three were awesome!!!

As much as I grouse about property taxes, I'm happy that a portion goes to my county's parks. Just a 5 min walk from my door and I'm here feeling spoiled and very grateful.

This video clip hits a few sweet spots for my #alternativerock tastes. Berlin w/Thomas Dolby covering Depeche Mode's "Never Let Me Down Again" at DC's Anthem 17 Sep 2019

Just saw that #Garbage is coming to DC in September. Last saw them at Wolf Trap NP in August of 2017 opening for #Blondie. We had great seats and the show was so awesome!!! #alternativerock

On Wednesday @sluggodoug.bsky.social asked us for pics of our pets including our dogs... labs... meth labs !?! Lol, nearly spit out my coffee. This is not a pet but sure looks comfy mere feet from my patio door.
