I had an excellent editing day where something just clicked. I knew I needed a different ending for a chapter but wasn't sure what it should be. But I think I just found it? 💃

I didn't meet my September goal. But that's okay! I spent a lot of the month examining and breaking down the end of Act 2 and Act 3. So we're pushing that soft goal of finishing draft 2 to October and see how I get on.

Now that August is coming to an end, I can say this was an excellent editing month. I'm roughly two thirds of the way through draft two! 🪄 Writing my second book is going much faster than writing the first.

I’m not entirely sure where the idea came from. But I decided on celestial-themed names for most of my characters. So I spent a lot of time on baby list websites until I settled on Seren and Leo!

Leo prefers healing potions to salves. Even though they are far more difficult to make (requiring moonwort plucked underneath a cloudless night sky) and are far less effective for the abrasions necromancers typically sport. (Maybe because they taste exactly like Seren.)
