Trump attends Pope Francis' funeral, supposedly to honor the pontiff's life, yet less than a week later, he mocks the beloved man and Catholics worldwide by posting this AI travesty on his own and White House accounts. "... for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." 2 Corinthians 11:14

So what's this latest Trump bizarrity? A federal budget-busting military parade for the Donnum's birthday? Didn't his Mama let him play with toy tanks and little plastic soldiers when he was a kid?!?

Give him until Monday and he'll be saying he doesn't know who Abrego Garcia is and he never met El Salvador president Bukele

These days, it seems like we're all watching a very bad new season of The Americans. With Philip and Elizabeth Jennings home in Russia, a large group of new sleeper agents has worked its way into highest echelons of the Executive Branch, overseen by an erratic billionaire tasked as their handler.

We are learning the hard lesson that Sun Tzu warned about.

Gosh, this all sounds so like a story I learned as a kid. Oh, yes. The Emperor Has No Clothes. Fits Donald Trump to a T

Just needed to switch things up with a moment of Zen. Took this photo a few years back in Nepal. Enjoy the serenity.

Yes @lawrenceodonnell.msnbc.com. Treasury Secretary should be impeached for handing over highly confidential and sensitive information on hundreds of millions of Americans to Elon Musk and his teenage tech nerds. Criminal breach of ethics, data, and privacy statutes

He and his insane clown Project 2025 posse seem to relish the cruelty, chaos, and disruption. Much of what they've done so far has huge and sometimes disproportionately negative impact on his own cult/voters. Reminds me one of those Old Masters' paintings like this Van Eyck.

I heard Hegseth's first act as Secretary of Defense was to order a new sign for the Pentagon.

As we enter a new chapter, be prepared for what could come. Perhaps incompetence and strong institutions will block much of the worst. But do yourself a favor and read this powerful book that gives us advice, based on other nations' history with tyranny. timothysnyder.org/on-tyranny

Everytime I see this ridiculous photo, I think of this other ridiculous photo.

Let's all do a mini thought experiment. Imagine little Petey Hegseth, playing at being big boy Secretary of Defense, in his first meeting with the Joint Chiefs. Now imagine Trump tells Petey to bomb Canada. Did our experiment give you a high level of comfort? If not, call your Senator now.

Another politician whose state is subsidized by California's outsize payments into the Federal treasury believes he should be the one setting any type of parameters are funded. #Fraud

Oh my gosh. You were right!!! I should have realized that either Trump or Musk as Pennywise was not an original idea.

What has happened to @fetterman.senate.gov? This guy is not the senator I and other Pennsylvanians voted for. When does trying to seem bipartisan become appeasement? When your Senator coddles an insane and dangerous Trump idea as if it's valid. What's next? He becomes a MAGAite and changes parties?

There's still lots of time to buy holiday gifts for readers (or yourself) -- especially if you shop local. In my little corner of SouthCentral PA, try Whistlestop Bookshop and Mechanicsburg Mystery Bookshop or check out your local book retailers!!!

With all the anticipating-a-Trump-administration frazzle and the pre-Holiday razzle dazzle, we all need some serenity in our lives. So here's a photo of boats in Nepal that I took a few years ago. Just breathe.....
