25% of the first episode is spent in a government boardroom. What other genre TV show would do this? It’s like Star Wars meets Shin Godzilla and I am fully there for it.

I think the TV show makes a mistake by changing a crucial part of the narrative, which is that neither Ellie nor the viewer/player are informed of Abby’s highly personal reasons for killing Joel until much, much later, literally halfway through the game.

It is way, way better than anyone would reasonably expect.

I’d put Callahan’s Crosstime Saloon and Stainless Steel Rat up there as well, although I wonder if they have not aged well.
