Please teach your children to cook as children. My son can cook rice. He washes his rice. He can scramble an egg. He understands how to make simple things. He is 12, but he can feed himself something. My parents didn't teach me, but I watched a lot of food network. Teach them something.

No brain cells here. She doesn't know what to do while the boy is gone.

I got told today that my house is "in a nice area" like yeah I didn't move into a slum, but it's just a regular neighborhood. My house was just under $150,000 last year. No million dollar homes here.

Listening to my dad argue for Trump's policies is terrifying. I can tell he doesn't understand how some stuff works and just believes the party line, but also believes that I don't know enough to be correct. He just doesn't really understand how the government works and can't believe I would.

Slightly toasted loaf was being a donut. She's the sweetest, most adorable viper kitty.

No one will ever love me as much as my burnt toast loaf.

Did a very adult thing and changed my furnace filter today. If you've never changed an accordian style furnace filter, I hope it never finds you. In theory it's easy, reality...not so much.

Apparently I'm dedicating this space to my cat now. I swapped bags to go to the art museum and haven't swapped back. Apparently it's a good pillow.

May we, like Fredegar Bolger, ‘decide what to do with the time that is given us’. May we find ‘deeds within our measure’ whenever life asks it of us and—more importantly—have the courage to act upon them. #tolkien #lordoftherings

I rescued Cassia 7 months ago. She picked me as her person. She loves cuddles, but hates being held/picked up. So I felt so special when she sat in my lap and let me pet her for 5 whole minutes today. Small wins.

First winter in this house...apparently this can happen.

Well my plans for today are put off by the weather. I'm sure the main roads are good, but my road is atrocious still and I don't trust being able to get dad's car out of the neighborhood. No Picasso exhibit today. Shooting for next weekend.
