I am going to a trinket swap on December 20th, so I am determined to make a bunch of trinkets to trade. The invite says to trade things about the size of a playing card or smaller, so today's project involved turning a couple of old notepads and thrifted cards into tiny notebooks.

God, grief is funny. I've been thinking about a new cat and of course missing Frank but I've been okay for months. Now I'm trying to get rid of this old couch, and I cleaned out from under it and found one of his favorite toys, practically brand new. And all the sudden I'm crying.

My first painting since I broke my wrist! Took forever and my elbow and shoulder hate me because of the weird angles I had to hold the brush at but I did it!

Put together some trinket shelves. When I'm back to two arms again I'll pull a bunch of the putty that's visible out of here, but this will do while I'm one armed. Everything here was either thrifted, gifted, or made by me.

Any name at all! Tell me one of your favorite names and I will find some little creature in my place that suits the name and send you a picture of it. Like someone on Tumblr suggested the name Crystal, so I assigned it to this little glass chicken!

All 72 bags given out! Still have kids coming by, so I brought out the leftovers. Didn't have any more cups but I managed to put together some more coffee and tea packets for the grown-ups too.

The city just planted a beautiful new tree in front of my house, so this is my view as I wait for the trick or treaters to come!

I thought I already posted these so apologies if you see them twice! I have officially graduated from a cast to a split, though the surgeon very pointedly told me this does not mean that I should be using my hand much. We do not get a second chance to put screws in Bones as Tiny as your wrist.

Little less than 2/3 of the way done packing the bags. The bags with chocolate bars and gluten-free candy are all done here, but I do like to throw a fresh orange in each one and I won't buy those until the day.

Everybody gets a make your own zine kit this year. Two copies of a one page zine Template, instructions how to fold and cut it, and Halloween pencils and stickers to decorate it with. Everybody also gets these adorable little bears that I found at the thrift store.

Kids who grab the bags with food will also get fruit snacks, a capri sun, and an easy to peel orange. The kids with allergy safe bags will get a little bottle of water, and some bonus art supplies like Halloween stamps and rulers and extra stickers

It's halloween, and you know what that means! Despite my injured arm I'm still able to pack my trick or treat bags, with help from a friend who came and opened all the bags for me the other day.
