Also about being able to recognise yourself/see opportunities as available to you. Didn’t know archaeology/zoology & loads of other subjects existed until I left my mining area. Didn’t see or know anyone doing those jobs so didn’t know they were an option!

Always been the case, incredible nothing has changed given all the projects/campaigns to encourage diversity of background. Fundamentally if you need to maintain yourself financially you can’t rely on arts/heritage jobs. Need more bursaries and maintenance schemes that support people long term
