Seriously, do you think pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell at this date is going to quench the Epstein fires or send them burning even higher?

In exciting laundry news, the Eater of Lost Socks has been extremely well fed this week; feasting on at least four dishes.

Saw “Sinners." The performances (particularly Michael B. Jordan) are excellent; Ruth E. Carter’s costumes are stunning (especially the dance montage and the characters in the coda who are subtly, but wonderfully, clad in slightly dated and mismatched fashion); and the music little short of divine.

The seemingly inane Executive Order deregulating showerheads isn't about plumbing; it's another circumvention of US law. The EO includes a clause stating no comment is necessary, because the decision comes from the President. Under law, ALL changes to regulations are subject to public comment.

I think a lot of folks are missing the point of the Economic Blackout. One day of lost revenue isn't going to change minds or drive anyone out of business. But with luck, it will send a message that there are other sources of power in this country beyond the current Administration.

So if George Soros can fund a Democrat-controlled worldwide weather machine out of his paltry $9B, why can’t Elon Musk fund a bigger, better one for Republicans out of his $400B?

I don't know if the trend is widespread, but we've been seriously curtailing our discretionary spending since the start of the year. Things are just too uncertain to do anything else.

Per Wikipedia: "Marco Antonio Rubio was born in Miami, Florida, the second son and third child of Mario Rubio Reina and Oriales (née García) Rubio. ...Neither of Rubio's parents were U.S. citizens at the time of Rubio's birth." So when will the SOS realize most MAGAs want him deported, too?

"There is now total clarity, no matter how unimaginable things might seem. And they amount to this: The U.S. government has been taken over by a clique of extremists who have embarked on a process of regime change in the world’s oldest democracy." --Stathis Kalyvas

There’s a piece in today’s NYT about how the coming cuts to Federal spending are going to damage the economy of Huntsville, AL and the surrounding area. Three guesses which way the county voted last November, and the first two don’t count. #FAFO

So, Elon Musk is allegedly cutting one billion dollars in wasteful or fraudulent Federal spending everyday. Nonetheless, the House voted to yesterday to increase the debt ceiling by four trillion dollars. Something here isn’t adding up.

I am fucking done with people who didn’t vote in November because Harris wasn’t the unicorn they wanted. They knew damned well that Trump would be far, far worse.
