The negotiability of #NAFO expansion is devoid of existence.

The kill switch is not even needed. Deny supply of parts, components, maintenance on the basis of the US ITAR laws (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and they won't fly long. Rafale is the only ITAR free option I believe. We'd just have to hope Le Pen won't get elected / abandons russia.

Forget America. Now is the time to act. Arm Ukraine to win. Let's make it the European Century together. We have it what it takes.

All in.

Now.

Preferably not but we need Europe to be able to fight "alone" (500K people, world's most industrialized region should not be lonely in any endeavor) anyway. US has superior satellite, intel, surveillance, air transport, air refueling capacities that we'd need to build. Right now US can't be trusted.

While no evidence is likely to emerge attributing to russia the damaging last December by a russian shadow fleet tanker of the Estlink 2 powerline between FIN and EST, which is part of new Baltic connection to EU grid, the target and the timing provide a fairly clear motive.

Excellent plan 😬

Not sure if Trump will ever be predictable! But Zelenskiy is playing it right. Flattering him as a "strong leader", showing the benefits for the US. Would be great for Europe not to be struck with whatever wind blows from across the Atlantic.

I dunno. A true leader of the free world calls russia by its genocidal imperialist name, condemns their crimes and imposes consequences. We'll need a lot better than this, and it should come from Europe. USA has given us years of failed escalation management and / or bootlicking of dictators.

Awesome. I heard though that NAFO funding will stop on the same date. Luckily, I'm loaded from all the [redacted] mission bonus money.

Another proof of why russia's defeat is the only hope even for russia itself.

The next test will be when the sabotaging ship is russian or chinese and won't obey commands to divert from international waters. Likely to happen. We'll have to act as firmly then.

I'm not an economist either, just a curious layman. Just finished reading Martin Daunton's 'The Economic Government of The World 1933-2023', which has tons of useful insight (a bit of a brick of a book!)

China is also a huge creditor to the developing world. This has its risks if the debtor countries default and can't compensate by ceding control of national assets (which has happened). This could lead to a global financial crisis originating in China, given the size of its economy.

China's problem is oversized construction sector and low domestic spending. In the absence of social security and I guess for cultural reasons, people prioritize savings over consumption. They do accumulate private debt to buy homes, so money is in walls instead of circulating in the market.

Inflation and interest rates are through the roof, the ruble is collapsing (ca 110 to one USD now). The only thing they can export is energy, that keeps their head above the water for now but it's hypersensitive to any price fluctuations in the world market. Not a sustainable situation for very long

The russian economy is. They overspend in the military, which increases GDP on paper - but a tank made to be blown to bits in Ukraine weeks later doesn't create wealth. They underspend in everything else. Too much of the workforce has flead or been KIA/WIA in Ukraine.

Who's with me rooting for Moldova to request Ukraine to send "peacekeepers" to kick the madafekkin shite outta the rashist occupiers and liberate Transnistria? A couple of battalions should do it.

New Year should officially begin at 9pm. We can adjust the difference here and there during the year.
