A bicycle jersey in the style of Piet Mondrian, which, I gotta say, I am not exactly sure how to describe to a non-sighted person who doesn't already know? I'm open to suggestions here. Angular, lots of colors, something like that.

I forgot--as part of our honeymoon we made it back home to see the solar eclipse. I warned my mom that taking a photo of the eclipse would take her out of the moment. She listened, and then didn't, and it's my favorite photo of myself

Had a good year overall but this month was the one I'll be thinking about for a while, plus I got to pet the famed Hobbiton cat named Pickles which felt like a bestowing

The beach at Williamstown, Victoria, at sunset. In the distance is a large shipping container ship making its way to port, as well as the Williamstown rocks and some other buildings on shore. A view of the City End of the Melbourne Cricket Ground, facing towards the scoreboard and the Aussie rules goal. In the distance, on the third tier of the Shane Warne Stand, is a red seat commemorating where Greg O'Donnell hit the farthest six in MCG history, some 200 meters from where we were standing. One of the houses at Hobbiton, with a yellow door, clothes hanging, and yellow and orange flowers growing on the wooden fence. I think this is Samwise Gamgee's house?

It got me thinking so I looked it up and not only is Chris wrong but he is double wrong according to Merriam-Webster:

Much wider than I was expecting, which for a blanket is probably a good thing, but it means it takes 20 minutes of furious knitting to knit one row. I've always been a Mexican soccer fan but given that and the Olympics are the only regular sports things on network TV for a while I'm cramming it
A scene of my work desk, much less cluttered than it usually is, partially covered by a magenta/purple blanket. There's some gray at the end of the blanket but the end has curled in on itself so you can't see it. Also in the photo is the giant ball of yarn, now only 16 inches in diameter, and my Rainbow Warriors hat my mom-in-law got for me from her home in Honolulu.

As promised here's my contribution to the discourse:
A giant ball of yarn which is being partially covered by the beginning stages of a blanket I'm knitting. The blanket is maybe a foot done, and the ball of yarn is about two feet in diameter. My wife's bouquet from our wedding is next to the ball, as well as a pile of skulls and a pen holder from a brewery I used to work at.
