Snow day - I mainly work outside so I’m taking the day off to spend with family. More knife progress posts tomorrow.

Got my belts today! I am not very good with them yet. I struggled with pushing the bevel back. Also on a more annoying note the ‘flat stock’ I have isn’t the most flat. Looking at the blanks I have, half of them have a slight warp. I have a anvil so maybe I can flatten them out a bit once heated.

Daily posts! Woo. One shaped roughly today in the half hour I had. Hope my belts for the belt grinder come soon. Maybe I’ll try to fix my disc grinder or use my angle grinder to try and finish one.

Todays work in the very limited time I had. Cleaned up the small knives from yesterday and worked on some bigger ones today.

Second/third photos - I got the one on the right feeling pretty good but left will need a lot more grinding tomorrow. I didn’t have time to grind it better. #knives #crafts

I’m alive! Life happened and I didn’t get to work on projects for a while but here’s the first full blank I cut out! I will be finishing up the second and cleaning them up later today when the rain subsides. #crafts #knives #hobbies

Done with finals and got a new toy on Black Friday. Going to experiment with my new bench grinder, if anyone has tips I’d be open to hearing them.

Didn’t get as much as I wanted done due to having to do other things. My grinder is a bit slow too which I don’t think helps. Going to saw it out I think to save cutting discs atp before returning with files and the grinding disc.

First time using a angle grinder. Some beginner mistakes but I think I’m getting the hang of it. Going to cut into the side with the cutting wheel and try and get the handle profile vaguely defined before hitting it with the grinding disc.
