“People afraid of losing their truth tend to be more violent than people who are used to looking at the world from several different viewpoints. Questions you cannot answer are usually far better than answers you cannot question.”

President Biden speaking like a prophet in his eulogy for President Carter.

Carer’s defining quality…character, character, character.

Watching the funeral service for President Carter.

Gerald Ford’s eulogy delivered by Steve Ford was beautiful, humorous, and touching.

Reminds me of what American Presidents and the American political process can be. Everything that the incoming administration is not.

The only path that makes any sense in a world in which truth and virtue doesn’t seem to matter either to the masses or their leaders is to stabilize one’s self in the quest to seek truth, speak courageously, and act compassionately.

Same as always.

Could there be a greater contrast than the one between the character of President Carter and that of Trump?

Character is not just one thing among many. It is the only thing that finally matters. It is the summum bonum.
