In case anyone asked, I didn't take on the lit agent in the end because my book was largely lgbtq oriented and they were shopping for more religious circles. Sadly, the movement became too conservative. It would've been a bad fit, even though they were the only one to give me consideration.

There she found them laid together, talking of promises and dreams. Fury overtook Gaia...

I think I kind of stumble I into it when I was still revising my book. At one point, I wasn't sure if dark fantasy suited me, so I hit up the local bookstore and browse through their category. I found that dark fantasy is pretty broad from the rugged sword and sorcery style to horror. It's a relief.

Because he doesn't spare anyone, the city doesn't have a chance to investigate and engage with their legal system. Any sort of murder, though it might be justified, is illegal. Aramis keeps racking up charges because he struggles with the idea of mercy. Thus the community service with the rebels. (3

He doesn't spare anyone that enrages him. The rage that comes forth doesn't blind him. More than anything, it makes him focused on a thread that he is driven to unravel. Blood is spilled by whomever crosses his path. Thus why the Red Pier got its name. He ended Pondo Rhum and his cohorts. (2
