I do this one too. It accelerates slowly enough to get good data by hand.

I still use regular whiteboards and whiteboard meetings for lab debrief and some other activities, but I really like using vertical boards for some things.

I love vertical whiteboarding for that cross-group communication that @msruggerio.bsky.social mentions as well as increasing engagement. It also makes for a quick debrief at the end, because problems are on the boards.

I use vertical whiteboarding for practice after we have developed our model with a paradigm lab. As written in the book, it is intended to start simple and gradually add complexity with each new problem.

This year, my AP1 kids have been watching AP Classroom videos and are fascinated with @jacobsphysics.bsky.social and his friends. They couldn't believe I'd met Edna. At the end of the week, one of them presented me with this portrait of Edna. 2/2 #iTeachPhysics

This post came just in time as I was planning my energy unit. We did this today and it was awesome! Almost everyone completed two stations and they were doing such good thinking! Not everyone had the same station and I loved the individual accountability and also the moments of collaboration.

And that fight helped other locals as well, including ours. It's absolutely due to union solidarity that paid leave is becoming more common in Massachusetts school districts.

I made a second batch yesterday and intentionally was much more liberal with the egg wash. They were more golden than my first batch.

4 question types: mathematical routines, translation between representations, lab question, qualitative quantitative translation. When I get home I can share the question writing template I made. It's for AP1 and AP2, but question types are similar across all 4 exams.

I wore that one today too!
