I have spent my whole life watching the GOP sabotage institutions and blame others for the effects to great success. Most people now distrust institutions, and trust the GOP.

Of course, the real bummer is that we don't have a political party who is interested in building institutions.

Amidst context-collapsed fretting of many who believe it's rational to abandon fire-prone areas for "safer" areas, I keep thinking about this project from ProPublica. It's not single disasters that present highest climate risk, it's compounding calamities.
