Why do we often feel it necessary to give an excuse or explanation when we decline an offer or request? Many times, all that is needed is to just say "No, thank you." Nothing else. It's okay to say no. Doesn't make you selfish or a bad person. Try it sometime. :)

Will there be any outcry about the plaques that were installed on the "Presidential Walk of Fame"? Embarrassing and shameful, and who paid for these?

Why do so many people find it necessary to use curse words, especially the F-bomb in their posts, in conversation, on coffee mugs and t-shirts?

Indiana voter here. Celebrating the fact that enough Republican Senators stood strong & resisted the intimidation and pressure to redistrict. Work's needed to stop gerrymandering on both sides but thanks to Hoosiers for fighting! Take note of who voted yes and remember them next election.

Are you lucky enough to still have your parents in your life? Mine are 87 years old and I realize every day how limited my time with them is. Be kind when they move slower or need more of your attention. Call and just say hi. Don't text....call! They love to hear your voice.

I see that "affordability" is the new buzz word. Wow. So, saying things are affordable is a better angle to use to try to make people believe that everything's okay? "Yes, costs may be up but they are still affordable." Seriously?

When people say that the cost for a Thanksgiving meal is less than last year and are listing the items included, are they ensuring the package sizes are the same (ie: a box of stuffing mix that was 12oz before but is 10oz now)? Are we paying less but actually getting less? Just wondering.

Does anyone believe that if Democrats voted to reopen the government, that the administration and Republicans would in any way work with them to address healthcare and other issues? They haven't been willing to meet and discuss for 30+ days and can't be trusted to do so.

Why is it so hard for our elected officials to simply sit down in the same room and have a conversation? Put aside the anger and vindictiveness. Come to the table. Listen with an open mind. Serve the people of this nation as you were elected to do. Compromise. Talk. Please. Enough already.

Is anyone else tired of the hatred, anger, and negativity that lives in our world today? We are better than this! Why does every event result in finger pointing and name calling...on all sides. So much division. YOU can make a change. Listen. Learn. One person at a time. Be that person.
