I have no confidence that the military won’t gladly shoot Americans. I think most (not all) are not good people. I don’t have any control over them, but I sure as fuck won’t be thanking them for their “service”.

Thing of Bluesky…chains are hard to follow. Also, I’m ok with mentioning the difference between cars/bikes safety prospects wherever my scroll picked up the thread because it’s kinda important for safety. But cool that you admitted your mistake. 👍

The US military is just a mercenary gang protecting corporate assets now. They don’t serve the Constitution or the American people. They couldn’t stop a foreign threat because most of them work for foreign threats.

Would need a very different DOJ for that to happen. Democratic presidents are very hesitant to clean house at the justice department or prosecute crimes by politicians. That’s why we’re here.

Yep, I’ve found people who are out of control with their inner lives often look to someone/something controlling outside of themselves to give them a sense of comfort. IMO, The more external control they need, the more alarming the things are in their head. 🚩🚩🚩

I agree, our government shouldn’t break laws and be facsist. I’m not proud of what my government is doing. Horrible people doing horrible things. I just don’t think if I don’t buy an extension cord on Amazon is going to fix it. It’s bigger than the extension cord purchase now.

I think you are misunderstanding the realities of American(United States of America, not to be confused with the continent of America 🙄) life/technology. Individuals are ill equipped to effect change by themselves. Consumer money is less and less important in a market that is built on nothing.

Our government should make sure that all businesses doing business are decent. This should NOT be our job! It’s another “blame the victim” trap that people have bought into. We have jobs! We shouldn’t have to also monitor business ethics. We pay people for that.

We can Doug Forcett ourselves( The Good Place reference) forever, but things are set up for the government to be the counterbalance of corporate power and it shouldn’t be up to people driving 12 miles or paying 15% more or doing 20 hours of research to figure out who they can buy groceries from.

He was kinda pardoned…the “wrist slap” for raping children sentence he got from Acosta (a full garbage human) who just called the children prostitutes in Florida was a “pardon light”. He got to continue living a fancy life and keep raping children. Just didn’t make it to the 2nd pardon I guess. 🤷♀️
