Yesterday we had a great walking tour around Washington Park by @edfujawa.bsky.social on the history of the old Indianapolis Zoo. /1

Monumental Marathon in Indy this morning, great weather—cool, partially sunny, calm—for some great racing and hopefully lots of sweet PRs! Happy to be sitting out this year.

Tons of photos and video to process, but will probably find the best shots of the day are from the Kodak Charmera anyways :-)

Some beautiful colors out today (when the sun was willing to come out), but I find these 1-bit Charmera shots more interesting. 🤷

Fall in Indiana delivering!

This weekend I rode the full Monon trail, from downtown Indy to beyond Sheridan, and the canal towpath.
The Monon paved rail trail shrouded in green and yellow. People can be seen waling on the trail into the distance. Trees changing colors reflected in the Indiana central canal, a footbridge crossing in the middle and a gravel path along the right side. The Monon trail with newer pavement, lined with yellow and orange trees. A tunnel under a highway, "Monon" written over the entrance in red letters, with a bright red tree alongside.

Yesterday the Eiteljorg Museum hosted Dia de Muertos; what a wonderful celebration of life and culture!
Women dressed as elaborate Catrinas line up outside the museum. A man stands with his son at a shrine with many photos of loved ones and letters written to them. Flags hang in front that say "Raices de Amor / Roots of Love" A woman dressed in an elaborate Catrina costume, all black with red roses and green leaves as decoration. She's wearing a very wide-brimmed hat that has black lace hanging down from the brim. Two youth sit on a wall, one dressed as a vaquero in black, his face half made up as an elaborate skull.
