If it isn’t already a crime for a guy heading up the executive branch to order something the Supreme Court said is unconstitutional, then it should be. And shame on all lawmakers & judges who don’t call home out for it.

The closest Costco to the UN seems to be 25 minutes away via public transit.
But seriously: This is one of the regime’s more ridiculous tactics to try to get the public to forget about the Epstein files.

Oh, deer! This little guy didn’t wander into my sunroom, but he settled in just 3 feet from me as I did phone interviews this afternoon.

Hey, @nytimes.com, don’t normalize the Musk/Trump administration’s unlawful & unconstitutional actions by treating this as just another policy move.
This is an autocratic move to destroy an agency created by act of Congress.

What?
CDC took down all the data for its Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System.
Is it gross incompetence or that the administration doesn’t care about the right to life for post-birth children?
Either way, taxpayers paid for those data and have a legal right to access them.

Trump's action seeking to strip citizenship from children born in the United States is a clear violation of the 14th amendment.
The impacts on the rule of law and ongoing viability of the Constitution are grave if the order stands.

I completely deleted TikTok and never uploaded content there anyway. Also, I object to the sycophantic comment about working with the incoming felon.

Hello, @dieworkwear.bsky.social.
What's with the two buttonholes on the jacket of this guy? Why would he need 2 boutonnierse? Or is that just for folks who try to discourage others from taking life-saving vaccines? [Photo by Haiyun Jiang for The New York Times at www.nytimes.com/2025/01/17/h...

I just finished this 1979 book by Roderick Thorp, on which Die Hard was based. Unlike in the film, the main character’s family member worked for a global petroleum company.

I expect I will still have sequins in the carpet and elsewhere for the next few weeks, but my first sewing project of 2025 is complete.

This is actually useful information included with my electric bill, although now I wonder if I should practice that last bit, just in case.

Excellent analysis by @dandrezner.bsky.social. Further complicating matters is near-constant sanewashing by some large media outlets.

The day before former PUCO Chair Sam Randazzo was found dead, the Ohio Board of Professional Conduct said it planned to certify a default on the ethics complaint against him to the Ohio Supreme Court. That case is now dismissed. #HB6 @energynews.us

How misinformation from a Koch-linked group stalled a bipartisan Ohio bill for energy efficiency programs.
Group's "key vote alert" included an obvious math error & characterized voluntary programs with opt-outs as mandatory. @energynews.us Image: Ɱ/Creative Commons energynews.us/2024/01/10/h...

Ohio’s adoption of gerrymandered maps last week is among multiple anti-democratic moves that thwart climate change action, say critics. Voter suppression, dark money, efforts to suppress public participation & more play roles, too.
