I agree we should allow room to call out dumb stuff, and allow people room to learn, but I don’t think we have to give in to right wing framing to do that, or tell people to not react when something said was harmful to them

I think the only way it could be beneficial is if the responder really frames the answer well, like how Ta-Nehisi responded to “but do you condemn hamas” kinda stuff where you call out the game being played with your answer
