Australia's social media ban is bad and dumb, but I'm seeing arguments that it's extra bad because it excludes Discord and Roblox, which is also dumb.
That's an instant messenger and a game platform. They're not social media. These are different things. You don't want the scope expanded here.

Youtube's AI summaries are one of the most pointless features I've ever seen. It assumes that not only am I not there to actually watch the video, I also don't want to read the description of the video.

I thought looking at how TPLO surgery is done would make me feel more confident. It did not. The success rates are high but it seems like such an extreme thing to do to a dog. Straight up body horror stuff.

Got my dog back from a scary vet visit. The good news is she's generally in very good health! But she's torn ligaments in both hind legs so now I get to be scared about that.

Played through Diablo 4 with friends. Compared to 3, the aesthetics and story have improved, but the sense of progression is maybe the weakest of the whole series. D3 at least had an arcadey-ness to it that could have worked without the Diablo branding.

From 2013, "Halloween vs Me-Mow". Real old, but I used to see this one pop up randomly around the internet. With attribution too, which is always nice to see!

After a streak of mediocre modern films, I've gone back to watch influential genre classics like Akira, Carrie, and 2001: A Space Odyssey. I think Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is next on the agenda.
If anyone knows a great western or samurai film, I'm open to suggestions!

After a streak of mediocre modern films, I've gone back to watch influential genre classics like Akira, Carrie, and 2001: A Space Odyssey. I think Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is next on the agenda.

When Undertale came out, I was at a point where the best I could do was pretend to enjoy things so I don't bring other people down. It cut through that cynicism with laughs, empathy, and intrigue. It was the support I needed to get my hope back.

Squid Game! I liked it; lots of good characters and early twists, but they didn't catch lightning in that bottle twice. As with the first season, it was a mixed bag towards the end, albeit in different ways.
Splitting into 3 seasons was a horrible mistake.

Even if retroactive fees were never a threat, this right here is why I need to move on from Unity.

I have caught up on Deltarune. I think it was wise to bundle Chapter 3 and 4 together...I could see complaints if there was a nebulous wait between them.
Very much had a good time! It's left me more invested than I was after either of the other releases. Now we wait.

I overlooked a lot of the weird camera/social features for the Switch 2 because they're clearly not for me, but if the price concerns are accurate, I'm not sure who Nintendo's even targeting. Is this just what happens when Iwata's not there to light the path?
