Our 14 year old dog insisted on crossing a busier road this weekend, which she normally avoids, because there were treats on the other side. She’s never been over there but sniffed them out 😆

Staying up with my senior dog until the fireworks stop. She turned 14 today. Was jet black when we rescued her as a puppy. Now she’s got as much white hair as I do!

She left me this vase- said I was the only one who brought her enough flowers to fill it. My husband and I bought these this morning and have been reminiscing all day. It’s incredibly hard, but a good reminder I’ll carry her with me always.

Shawarma chicken thighs on the grill with lots of hummus, garlic sauce, roasted tomato labneh and lots of veg was my comfort food today. And wine. 🍷 Lots of wine.

Lost my grandma last month. We were very close and I called her everyday. Today would have been her 91st birthday, and I’m devastated I can’t spend the day with her. Spend some time with your loved ones while you can.
