This! 12 years of Catholic schooling - this is what I learned. Part of why I left that party.
It really shouldn’t be a surprise that the pope’s stated values are antithetical to Republicans because the teachings of Jesus as I learned them in Catholic school contained a lot more empathy and caring than what we see from the modern GOP

This! 12 years of Catholic schooling - this is what I learned. Part of why I left that party.
I worked at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange as a bartender on Black Monday 1987. It was aweful to see all those traders so distraught. Sold ALOT of booze that day. Seems like today is going to have the same vibe.
