I’m pretty sure under 16s flying in economy are exempt from APD anyway, so the total increase for a family of 4 will be £4 or £24, depending on where they go. The vast majority of those who do go on holiday go short haul, and almost 1/5 of brits holiday in the UK, so will pay £0 extra APD!

Kemi probably has a point here. I’d say that (the BBC) spouting bullshit just because a well known bullshitter bullshitted it is not journalism. Journalism is confirming whether the bullshit claim is actually true or not

Given they have an almost bottomless pit of cash, fines will just be seen as a cost of business. Only way to punish them is to revoke their license.

I think this has been delayed every 6 months or so for the last 4-5 years, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see it moved again before the new ‘deadline’ arrives

Indeed. I had become nothing more than a lurker for a year or more at the other place, as making any sort of comment on anything just became less and less worthwhile.
It used to be a place to have/see reasonable debate, with a few bad actors, but it quickly became a cesspit of hatred.
