I think he knows I’m talking about him and his outdoor-destructive tendencies.

Bought this graphing notebook a long time ago to draw quilt designs, but because I hate patterns and have no sewing discipline I’m just drawing up my vegetable garden instead.

So when will mainstream media cover this?
March 4, 2025 at 4:23 PM
It’s fine. I don’t need to sit on my couch, or anywhere.

The chickens leave me the most beautiful gifts every day.

Molly is how we all feel.

Winter sowing 2025 round 1 lets gooooooooooo.

Hey. Still navigating crippling anxiety? Existential dread? In fear for family members that are about to lose basic rights? Wellp. Try organizing your seeds. It’s a good maybe 1/2 hour distraction. Next up, channeling my energy into establishing a shit ton of garden beds.

We all cope with governmental collapse, crippling panic attacks, injustice all around, and rising costs differently. This is how I do it, I guess.

I make gardening spreadsheets and rough layout sketches 😂

ATTENTION URBANA ILLINOIS: come to Lincoln Square Mall. I’m here selling things with my pals until 4 in the Food Coop hallway. Today only.

Ok. Bernie will need to have a partial amputation of his tail. Still no estimate yet but I know it will be $$. If you like what I’ve shared on here so far, check out my website. OR, repost so that maybe others will. Feel free to DM with questions. Quirkyquiltress.com

At the vet now, havin’ a nervous time.
February 3, 2025 at 4:51 PM
Well, Bernie (Sanders) here injured his tail last weekend. Tore the very tip right off. Looks like it’s not going to heal on its own and I will be taking him to the vet this morning. I absolutely cannot afford this and am in a tailspin. I might have to beg for some sales on here. Stay tuned. 😬

I need everyone to know this as I post these things:

1. I am probably feeling the same sense of dread that you are

2. I also don’t know what to do

3. I am frustrated and scared

4. I am grappling with the fact that I still have to sell my art and struggle to come up with cute little captions

Here are some more tiny quilts I made over the weekend while the world was going up in flames.

Burning these eggs helped me through the worry and stress that my disabled sister may or may not have access to health care at the flip of a switch, at any given point in time - because doing that sounds badass to unaffected white guys in suits. Yay tiny quilts

Today someone asked me what size the snake plant quilt was, so instead of doing the normal thing and telling them the actual size, I used my head for scale and sent them this dumb picture. So there you go. Quilts as big as my head.

It’s the year of the snake. My original thought was to make literal snake plants.. like with snakes as leaves. But that would have required me to study several pics of snakes, and I just can’t. Sorry dudes but I hate snakes. -Love, Indiana Jones

Everything is on fireeeeeeee. Art included.

The tiniest egg on the end was laid by lil’ Tina. My hens are all starting to lay again after their winter break. I’m always inspired by what they give me, and I see some more egg quilts, pillows, and wall art happening soon. I’ll probably never stop doing egg and chicken art.

I love this so much and I need to add you to my handmade mug collection. Not really YOU, but a mug you make. Way to be creepy there, Kelly…

A good way to wake the kids up at 6:30am is to hammer nails into the corners of mini quilts. #artistsofbluesky #handmade #maker #finecraft

I made quilt corn without the corn. Look at that! It’s #art, you guys.
January 26, 2025 at 2:52 AM
Everything is terrible. Can I interest you in an art quilt? Or some other weird art?
January 25, 2025 at 4:34 PM
Friends. I know things are hard. But I think this show will brighten things for you. The artists coming have a sense of humor and curiosity that shines through their work.

We are entering a time in which it will be more important than ever to support your local small businesses and artists.
