This is my husband of 20+ years, spring through FOUR bins of AC power adapters that I found while trying to organize our house (which is, let's just say, full).

If you can relate, then hello new friend!
Pretty! Near Firefly coffee shop in Santa Cruz.

First off, they will almost certainly discover that COBOL is hard to improve on

Old COBOL often runs *great*

COBOL systems are very often fast as hell -- they're torqued specifically for the hardware they run on

This is why banks today still rely on COBOL bank-end systems:

My mom died of cancer when I was young and my father is a biophysicist who spent much of his life doing research in the area.

My dad is still alive. I wonder what her thinks of this!

Oh hey! Thanks to all who followed me since my last (first) time. Hope you liked my imitation of the "strong silent type".

The only reason I am calm at all right now is bc I am medicated.

Or I'd have my passport in my purse and my camping gear in the car by now.

How is everyone coping?

This is an arial view of Bodhi, our main cat (Lily is our "aux" cat) sleeping in a chair. He is an older cat that adopted us years ago.

This is Lily. She's around two years old now and much bigger than when we got her from the shelter as a kitten. She is still afraid of big things.
