That the "Donald Trump Bobblehead doll" was at that point not only just a random piece of junk cluttering your desk, but a throw away joke that eventually found a more appropriate home in the trash can, definitely paints a rosy picture of life twenty years ago.

I haven’t had a chance to watch “The Lowdown” premiere yet, but how does that square with Ethen Hawke presumably playing a different character here than Elora’s Dad?

Damn, I searched the Wiki before I posted, but apparently the search function wasn't smart enough to match "Movies About TV" (what I searched) with "Movies About Television" (what the episode was actually called). Guess I'll just have to hold out for an "Oops! All Mooches" TV Movies draft!

Fair enough. I don’t know why I put “six seven” in a different bucket than “Skibidi Toilet” or “Chicken Jockey”, other than I’m actually familiar with the source of the latter two.

My wife & I had this same conversation yesterday. She works at an elementary school & usually asks me to look up what kid slang actually means. I struck out trying to translate “six seven” for her, only for her to come back today with “turns it literally means nothing, the kids just find it funny”.

I still get scared playing any sort of video game underwater section with limited visibility, and it’s been nearly 30 years of PTSD all going back to my first encounter with this motherfucker.

D&D 5th Edition offers a Cleric that can specialize in the Peace Domain. You gain benefits to buffing your party's rolls, healing spells, and taking damage in place of your allies. Nothing that explicitly prevents you from attacking, but it isn't the focus.

Population Density may be a better metric for Relegation due to lower populations in tiny states: Vermont is 49th in absolute population but jumps to 31st in population density; Delaware similarly jumps from 42nd to 6th when shifting to density. Texas is the biggest loser, dropping from 2nd to 24th.

My impractical fever dream is State Promotion/Relegation. Every 10 years, tied to Census, the 5 states with the lowest populations are forced to merge with their neighbor with the lowest population, and the 5 states with the highest populations are forced to split into two equally sized new states.

Same deal with my two kids, eventually they got to being fine with their fingernails but still apprehensive about their toenails. In both cases, I'd let them play a kid's game on my phone (Sago Mini type stuff), and that distracted/enticed them enough to get through it.
