140 years ago today, Fr. James Otis Sargent Huntington made his life vows as a monastic in the newly formed Episcopalian mens' Order of the Holy Cross. We celebrate his life vow anniversary today, amid a society that seems hellbent on returning to many of the social evils he fought.

Do please understand: Republicans *loathe* education. They hate it. They hat educated people.

They want a public that is ignorant, stupid, uneducated - and gullible. That way, they'll keep voting against their own best interests, because they won't be smart enough to understand what they are doing.

And the House has decided that their new rules require discrimination and bigotry against trans people - including one of their own members.

These people make it SO hard for me not to hate them.

Listening to 1A...listening to the fear of trans people, of gay people...wanting to embrace them *all* and hold them safe from harm from this tsunami of fecal matter that comprises this incoming "government."
