Every time the Cheeto posts on TruthSocial and gets like 5k likes, I wonder if anyone's actually at the website. I mean, he's The Guy for TruthSocial, and he can't rack up more likes than a D-list actor? (That is what he is, but still.)

Only speaking personally, I trust myself more to straight-up refuse than to have a drink and then have the mental clarity to switch shortly before I leave, but yeah, I can see the logic in that too for other folks.

There are also times I just don't feel like a drink. I like iced tea. It's tasty.

The number of people who have turned "Hey, I'm driving, so can I just have an iced tea?" into the third degree about my alcohol habits needs at least both hands to count. Why do they care? I am forever mystified!

I'll also add to this: even if you know someone drinks at other times, if they refuse alcohol at any specific time, get over it.

I do drink occasionally, socially, but if I'm driving, I'm 100% sober. I'm 4'10" and the line between 'fine' and 'impaired' is way too close for me to risk it in a car.

I received more scrutiny before my appointment as a voluntary city commissioner than Trump's nominees are getting. And that's not even hyperbole.

Note "misledtoe" was a pun, commenting on words people can't pronounce (in my brain, 'misled' has a long I, a la 'MIZ-uld.'

Someone who doesn't know how possessives work is the Oklahoma State Superintendent of Public Instruction. This really shouldn't surprise me, but...

The "temporarily embarrassed millionaires" trope has never felt truer than the Trump voters' denial of something practical that would improve their lives by leaps and bounds.

What's always odd to me about this is that there's even a tradition of Black Madonnas throughout Europe. Here's the Virgin of Montserrat, likely from the 12th century.

Not postulating that she, or her son, existed, but it's interesting that this tradition didn't get more historical play overall.
