John, I love your insights but if I invested in your flagship fund from 2000 and held until now I'd have less than my principal? Am I missing something? Is this fund not meant to be held long term?

100 year high valuations, historic government deficits, threat of debt monetization — what's an average investor, who is wary of the mania, supposed to do?

That's great. Can we have bookmarks?

I feel like DOGE would have cancelled this project and put out some BS press release, "they were harvesting shark blood!"

Was this actually Chia who did this work? Is he still around?

I thought pump and dump was illegal.

I know someone else young diagnosed with this during the pandemic. He is in his 30s. Doing well now but still very scary. COVID related? I guess time will tell.

This will keep going until there’s enough people disabled that we can’t ignore it any longer.

What should we do about Elon?

Health systems everywhere seem to be in crisis. Maybe it has something to do with the denial of COVID and long COVID?
December 13, 2024 at 11:07 PM
How do we fix it?

Will we reflect back on the Hawk Tuah coin being the final sign of the market top? Or can markets continue to defy gravity and keep going forever?

Really exciting for you guys. I'm sure this will help the larger donors significantly. For the smaller $$$ campaigns, it would be awesome to see some sort of match campaign. I feel like those really bring out the small denominations while incentivizing the big donors to multiply their gifts.

La Nina this year. Maybe not the best year to make this prediction.

Yeah it was her. She seems super sensitive: agree w/ her or I'll block you basically. Very strange way to engage in discussion online.

Wonder where Hizentra belongs...

If people don't stop developing long COVID this could snowball into an existential healthcare crisis.
December 2, 2024 at 3:12 AM
This person received this bed sore because of a healthcare failure. Maybe we don't want to live in a world where the solution to failures like this is offering to kill people?

"So sorry I left you here for days. I'd be happy to kill you for the trouble."

You're sick.

I mean Trump pardoned his son-in-law's Dad, who's crimes Chris Christie described as some of the worst he's ever prosecuted. He also just made the same guy an ambassador.

Great thread. You're right: I had no idea you have published in areas outside of Finance. Also, I didn't realize you had a foundation related to this. Thank you for your advocacy and philanthropy.

Just looking at the title this sounds like me. Looking forward to reading the paper.

Personally, I think it's unethical to offer death to disabled people in lieu of quality healthcare. It should be available as an option but people shouldn't be coached into it if it's not on their radar.
