Feeling very lucky…my neighbor has great horned owls living in their tree and I can see/hear them from my house. Here is a picture I took of a young one with its parent. I think the adult is a male as the youngster is almost as big as him. A female adult great horned owl is larger than male. Enjoy!

It’s the Western Blue Bird of Happiness. But I’m pretty much stuck inside due to the atmospheric river passing over my area. The bird helps me remember there will be better days ahead!

If you look closely, you will see that the Sandhill Crane has a corn kernel in its beak. Sandhill Cranes migrate every year along the Pacific Coast Flyway (among other migration paths). I believe birds migrate for the same reasons people do.
