Hardware wise I'm not sure. I haven't had anyone complain about performance. Supposedly GTX 1660 ran it well as well.

Twitter has over 20x the user count. Lots of people haven't bothered to change their platform - might not even know there is an alternative.

It probably comes down to gameplay, if it's better to have fewer big maps or more smaller maps.
Performance plays a part as well, but there seem to be ways to make it work, if gameplay benefits enough from larger scale.
