If you go to Pettit’s SuperValu in Bray and over to the holiday chocolates wall by the booze section you too can get your very own mega-sized display box of Tunnock’s and NOT SHARE THEM WITH ANYONE

We’ve lived in the back part of the house for 17 weeks w/ 8 dogs & 5 cats & a temp kitchen fitted into the front porch (no cooker). Today begins the long process of moving back into the renovated rooms, hooray!! Cooked my last breakfast on the portable Ikea induction plate (great product btw)

I’ve voted in California elections since the 1970s. Never in my life did I think I’d be voting on measures like these, thanks to the new authoritarianism 😵‍💫

I do highly recommend a visit to Beaumaris Castle though if you are on your way to the Holyhead ferry and have an hour+. 60-90 minutes is ideal. It’s like the ur-castle

The mismatched best friends who were together from puppyhood onwards. Extra large Pyrenean Mountain Dog (aka Great Pyrenees) Zuri and little Cavalier King Charles fellow Hudson. He sleeps on her tail at night because: soft #dogsofbluesky #speirgorm

Cairn Holy in Scotland is a pretty heavy metal cairn. Those tallest standing stones must be close to 3m high. Missed the earlier ferry so got a chance to go see it

Great column in todays’s Observer. Soooooo spot on. Am in UK for a week and so many flags everywhere making those ‘statements’. Totally Ulsterised

Aren’t these lovely? Birds of the North Pennines printed on beer mats (!) which the woman at the register in the Bowlees Visitor Centre in Teesdale gave me today when I bought some cards and books. You can scan a QR code on the back to learn more. Lovely morning walk along the Tees with a few dogs
