And he was allowed back a day later. Frankly, I was shocked that he stepped down in the first place. After all, he was hired by a guy who does sieg heil salutes in public, and we know Elon isn't stepping down.

From my understanding, the administration is inviting the lawsuits because they expect the Republican-controlled SCOTUS to give them pretty much everything they want, and that sounds like a strategy that just might work - a terrifying prospect.
