Saturday night, a friend took me to hear Paul Thorn - Great show, great band - a much-needed break from the dysfunctional new reality ...A line from one of Paul's songs really hit home - It's my new mantra: "TOUGH TIMES DON'T LAST, TOUGH PEOPLE DO"...

I adopted this sweet rescue pup a couple of weeks ago...It's been a while since I've had a puppy, and I forgot how challenging the first few days/weeks/months are --but he's a wonderful antidote to the cruel and destructive forces hard at work in DC right now...funny/too damn smart/loving & lovable
