I learned today this is no longer true with shuttle buses replacing the A to Rockaway. MTA employees actually direct you to use this exit.

Very interesting that the new bike lane has dramatically boosted Brooklyn Bridge ridership yet does not seem to have shifted any trips off the Manhattan Bridge.

You can have private, not-for-profit health insurance- that's how most of the Blue Cross Blue Shield plans work.

This one is highly dependent on which Rust Belt city we're talking about. Climate change could really boost Great Lakes cities like Buffalo and Milwaukee, while greatly harming inland cities like St. Louis.

There's one other way to do it- take the A to Howard Beach, cross over to the Manhattan bound platform, walk out the emergency exit into JFK long term parking, and you bypass Airtrain fare control

Do you have recommended reading on why costs exploded in the 1930s? I would have expected the Great Depression to have low labor and material costs
